It all started with a frog...
Conception
Le-Curve is dedicated to my French mother, Danièle, who introduced me to the antique jewellery business as a teenager and in whose footsteps I followed, qualifying as a gemmologist and a diamond specialist shortly after her death.
The makings of an idea
Development
Le-Curve was born from a brooch with two small frogs that belonged to my mother. Some time ago I remodelled the frogs into a necklace, sitting them on a curve of gold looking at a diamond. The curve’s proportions were designed so that the necklace flows seamlessly around the neck from the chain to the curve, sitting just below the ‘suprasternal notch’, the hollow at the base of the throat.
Creativity within the curve
Handmade
All of Le Curves products are lovingly handmade in Hatton Garden, the centre of London’s jewellery trade.
Made using traditional processes to cast the metals, set the gemstones and assemble the necklaces. The enamelling, by London’s foremost enameller, has hand painted details.
Le-Curve's founder is a registered member of the Gemological Association of Great Britain, known as GemA.
Precious Stones And Metals
Le-Curve only uses natural gemstones, including diamonds, sapphires, pink sapphires, yellow sapphires, tsavorites (green garnets), rubies and emeralds. Many of the collections are available in different colours and purity grades of gold. The Josephine is also available to order in Platinum.
All precious stones are ethically sourced and all metals are hallmarked by The Goldsmith’s Company at the London Assay Office.
